Devlog 10/3/22: On the way there!

Hello, all! It's been a good handful of months since the last devlog, so I figure I'll let everyone know that progress is still being made in the development of Part 2! Many new areas have been finished since the last post, including the first main stretch of Part 2, as well as a decent chunk of the endgame areas. In fact, in terms of puzzle content, I'd say that I'm slowly approaching the end of the game! There are still a LOT of things left to make (including several dozen more puzzles), but the prospect of me finishing this game has only become more likely over time. So, that's good!

For this devlog, I don't particularly feel the need to mention any specifics in what I'm working on or any hurdles that have cropped up, but I've certainly got a lot of really hard things done that heavily weighed on my mind back when I first outlined Part 2 of the game. So, I'll leave it at that for now, and just showcase some small snippets of intriguing things.

The item you receive at the end of Part 1, the Warp Rod, has been implemented! Travel across all areas of the game with ease.

A small snippet of a large area. Have fun figuring out what everything means.

An interesting-looking puzzle, in a familiar-looking place..?

Something very interesting.

Well, that's it for now! I'm still hard at work on the remaining content. It'll probably be a good many more months before the game's in a state to be played start-to-finish, but with the progress I've been making, it feels closer than ever! (But still far away.)

Thanks for reading, and as always, I hope you'll enjoy I Wanna Lockpick, in the past, present, and future tense! (Be sure to share it with your friends, too. Especially if they do video playthroughs. I'd love to watch more people get destroyed by enjoy the game.)

See ya.
