Day 1 Patch: Controls and Better Hints

It's been a day, let's fix some stuff.

You probably noticed that the options menu and title screen were using hardcoded binds, but not anymore. Now they use certain control binds instead, namely the directional binds, the undo bind, and the select bind. If you're in an emergency, press Ctrl+Shift+R to completely reset the binds.

Additionally, I pretty substantially overhauled the hints for some "high likelihood of stuckness" progression points, so if you're in a point in the progression where you genuinely don't know where to go, it'll be far easier for you to understand now.

More fixes to come at a later date.

Congrats on the game release!

How do you patch? Is it just the exe that needs to be replaced?

Originally I wanted to get that set up but there seems to be some weird technical difficulties with it. So you'll have to redownload the game and either extract the files to a new folder or replace every file, either will work.

Is the save file not in the same folder?

The save file is in AppData, so you don't have to worry about it when changing versions.

Seriously hoping one of those hints will help me get the 13th

...Day 1 patch version doesn't recognize my keyboard inputs

Edit: Never mind, probably an issue due to previous hard-coding of menu inputs. Once I restored control settings to default on the release version, day 1 patch worked.

...And I still don't get it.

Actually, good touch on making it recognizable as a lock. Still suffering, but with a goal on the horizon,

there's already a hint for the 13th on the wall of the 0th

It wasn't enough for me to understand it, and it's also not there anymore in the new update.
